BAAT Medical Products visits the USA

BAAT Medical in the USA

Gary Antonius represented BAAT medical during the September Dutch royal trade mission to California. A great opportunity to meet face to face with our existing relations and customers such as the amazing company Telebionix, whilst at the same time building new relations.

To further enhance our Unites States presence in the future, BAAT will announce an expansion in the USA soon. But back to the Dutch royal trade mission to California and focus on MedTech.

California Facts

New figures show that the economic relationship between the Netherlands and the United States is stronger than ever, with California (CA) ranking 2nd in the top 10 US states that export goods and services to Holland.

Networking, innovating, spreading knowledge

The Dutch Queen Máxima’s visit to San Francisco, California in the United States, which took place between Sept. 7 and Sept. 9 2022, was part of a the Royal trade mission of more than 100 Dutch companies. They visited San Francisco, Los Angeles and Houston. According to Gary, he was impressed by deep knowledge shown by Queen Maxima. “Proud to be Dutch” says Gary, referring to the Argentine-born Queen who speaks fluent Dutch and English among other languages.

The mission included visits in the Bay Area to Google, Facebook, University of California San Francisco(UCSF), Berkeley, Stanford University, focusing on innovation on climate change, mobility, healthcare and MedTech solutions.

Task Force Healthcare

Léonie Schuurmans gave an excellent recap of the mission in this posting on LinkedIn. Léonie (Task Force Health Care) believes that the future of healthcare in the U.S. is really formed by #SMEs because the specialized knowledge of startups and scale-ups is desperately needed there. As a great example, a Dutch invention in the field of cartilage restoration was shown To Queen Maxima by the company Arthrosave: The ‘Knee reviver’ (made by BAAT by the way):

Big Thanks for the mission!
